Bayern Takes Another Injury Hit Before Against Arsenal in the UCL

Bayern Munich faces further injury concerns as France international Kingsley Coman joins the sidelined players ahead of their Champions League clash against Arsenal.

With the quarter-final second leg looming next Wednesday and the tie finely poised at 2-2, Bayern’s preparations have been marred by setbacks. Former Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry is already sidelined with a hamstring injury sustained during the first leg. Additionally, left-back Alphonso Davies will be absent due to suspension after receiving a yellow card in the same match.

Coman’s injury adds to Bayern’s woes. He was forced off during Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Cologne with a suspected knee problem. The 27-year-old had to be replaced by Jamal Musiala in the second half and was seen being supported by Bayern medics as he left the pitch.

The absence of Coman leaves Bayern with limited options on the wings. Leroy Sane was also omitted from the squad against Cologne to manage his fitness. Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who recently returned from injury, was similarly rested for the match.

In Coman’s potential absence against Arsenal, Bayern may rely on Musiala and Sane to fill the void on the wings, with Harry Kane likely leading the attacking line.
