Nigerian musician Banky W, who is now a politician, has praised his wife, Adesua Etomi, for supporting him when he was addicted to porn.
The preacher and comedian took a minute to thank his wife before openly discussing his history with porn at a sermon titled “The jail of pornography” on Sunday, June 25, 2023.
He pointed to his wife, Adesua Etomi, who was sitting in the front row and stated, “If I don’t thank God for anything in my life, I thank God for this lady.
Banky W emphasised the value of having a trustworthy friend while pleading with the congregation to do so. He counselled them, “Find the proper person that you can speak to.”
In his speech, he discussed his struggles, stressing instances when to maintain his resolve and resist the temptation to view adult films, he would constantly contact his wife and chat to her on the phone for extended periods.
You choose which ideas to concentrate on, Banky W said in his sermon, comparing the human brain to a powerful machine. You control what enters, what exits, and what remains.
He continued by outlining ways to resist the urge.
“You can not spin a notion out of your head,” he said. It has been proposed to you. Therefore, you can’t get it out of your head. It can only be changed to a more potent concept. You can only replace the lies of the devil with the truths of God. Therefore, you must refresh your mind with His words.
