The event featured the distinguished presence of Peter Obi, the second-place finisher in the most recent presidential election, who arrived in his customary black attire, adding a touch of sophistication to the affair. The event attracted notable figures from various spheres.
David Greene, the US ambassador to Nigeria, welcomed the distinguished guests and set the tone for the commemoration with his heartfelt greetings. His opening remarks set the tone for a night of celebration and camaraderie.
Ademola Adeleke, the esteemed governor of Osun state, and Dele Momodu, a well-known publisher of Ovation magazine and a powerful member of the Peoples Democratic Party, were also in attendance, in addition to Peter Obi (PDP).
The event was further enhanced by the presence of notable political stakeholders nationwide. They included Toyin Saraki, the esteemed spouse of Bukola Saraki, the former Senate President, as well as the respected governors of Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom, Douye Diri and Umo Eno.
