Atiku’s assistant criticises Tinubu, saying “1,000 media advisers can’t restore your deteriorating reputation.”

Phrank Shaibu, the Special Assistant to former Vice President and 2023 Peoples Democratic Party presidential contender Atiku Abubakar, remarked that even a thousand media aides could not rescue President Bola Tinubu’s scandal-plagued reputation.

Shaibu stated this on Monday in response to Tinubu’s creation of a media directorate and five new aides.

The new aides are Fela Durotoye, Fredrick Nwabufo, Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe, Aliyu Audu, and Francis Adah Abah.

Shaibu said the appointments confirmed his September 18 announcement that the Tinubu government will launch a propaganda unit.

I predicted on September 18 that the Tinubu government would be frustrated after being exposed for their many lies and would form a propaganda unit.

“They created a media and PR directorate. Tinubu now has 20 media advisers. Approximately three of these appointees have the same portfolio.

We understand Tinubu’s government’s desperation as it faces a massive certificate forgery crisis and is set to be drowned by the FBI’s heroin case files in the US.

“A government that claims fiscal discipline has the most non-statutory appointments. Ironically, Tinubu has more media advisers than economic consultants. His intention to rule via propaganda is evident. No wonder he only had one cabinet meeting in five months.

Tinubu and his lackeys must realise that excreta stinks no matter what air freshener you use. His fading image cannot be saved by image washing.

His media aides include Ajuri Ngelale (Special Adviser Media and Publicity), Tunde Rahman, Tope Ajayi, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, Otega Ogara, Segun Dada, Nosa Asemota, Sunday Moses, Taiwo Okonlawon, Moremi Ojudu, and Tanko Yakasai (SAP Multimedia content production). The Minister of Information and other ministry officials who promote propaganda are excluded.

The recent hire gives Tinubu almost 20 media aides, a record for Nigeria. Only so much misinformation can work. Propaganda cannot feed the impoverished, improve their infrastructure, eliminate instability, or attract cautious international investors.

With Animal Farm’s Squealer, they can only increase community food supplies on paper.”
