According to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), it will only call one Presidential Election Petition Court witness to testify in its petition (PEPC).
The party stated that it would only call one witness and that witness would testify three days later.
APM’s attorney, Mr Shehu Abubakar, reported to the court on the agreed witness arrangement, saying that the star witness would give the evidence-in-chief in 20 minutes, the cross-examination would last 25 minutes, and the re-examination would take five minutes.
According to Abubakar, the parties exchanged documentation that each party would rely upon.
The Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) attorney responded by claiming that the electoral body had yet to be invited to the meeting between the petitioner and the respondents.
According to him, the commission only had one witness to back up this petition and would require one day to do it.
The APC stated that it largely agreed with the petitioner’s report and added that it would take five days to summon one witness in support of this appeal.
Mr. Akin Olujimi, SAN, the attorney representing Sen. Bola Tinubu and Mr. Kashim Shettima, announced that he would call three witnesses, including two who would be subpoenaed.
He continued by saying that he would need four days to present his case.
He stated that he would require 25 minutes to cross-examine the key witness.
Mr. Kabiru Masari, the fifth defendant’s attorney, informed the court that he would call one witness and needed to present his case one day.
