In Osun State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has started making plans to take back power in 2026.
In the July 2022 election, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governor Ademola Adeleke defeated former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
The APC leadership ordered party members to begin meetings and other political activities inwards and in local government areas on Wednesday.
Acting State Chairman Tajudeen Lawal promised to use all available means to achieve the party’s victory at a stakeholder meeting in Osogbo.
He explained that the party’s purpose, which was called at Oyetola’s request, was to set a new route for the advancement and development of the APC.
Lawal praised the members’ fortitude throughout the legal proceedings and promised that the “proper processes” would be implemented for all benefits.
“After the Supreme Court’s ruling, we haven’t encountered a big mansion like this. We are still dedicated to making the party stronger.
The events are divine, and we have regarded them as God’s will. The APC will soon return to power.
Let’s head back to our various councils, wards, and units to begin organising our supporters in all the nooks and crannies, he pleaded.
The meeting was evidence that “the journey to recapture Osun has begun right now,” the APC leader continued.
