President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu had a call on Tuesday, May 16, from US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken.
According to a statement from Blinken’s office, during the call, Blinken reaffirmed his ongoing commitment to cooperating with the new administration to strengthen the relationship between the United States and Nigeria.
The Secretary highlighted that the U.S.-Nigeria alliance is based on common interests and solid people-to-people ties, and that these ties should continue to grow throughout the presidency of President-elect Tinubu, it was further revealed.
According to the release, Secretary Blinken and President-elect Tinubu spoke about the value of inclusive leadership that speaks for all Nigerians, ongoing comprehensive security cooperation, and economic growth-supporting reforms.
