Several Nigerians have petitioned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to arrest Nigerian comedian Emmanuel Chuwkwuemeka Ejekwu, often known as “Sabinus,” for supporting and advertising a Ponzi scheme firm, AI Mining, which has reportedly robbed numerous individuals.
The celebrity has pushed the platform in many videos, encouraging people to invest in it. He was also one of its representatives.
Chiamaka Glory is said to be the owner of the Ponzi scheme.
SaharaReporters discovered that the app had failed, leaving investors owed money stuck.
Sabinus is being chastised by some subscribers who invested in the program.
According to reports, the comic has been silent since the app broke.
“Previous to the malicious scam operations carried out against many innocent Nigerians by a firm dubbed AI MINING on March 30th, 2023, whose ambassador in Nigeria is one Mr Chukwuemeka Emmanuel Ejekwu, a comedy famous widely known as Mr Funny / Sabinus,” a plea to the Commission stated.
“Since ghosts cannot contract Mr Funny Sabinus Chukwuemeka, we want this body to invite him to expose the identify of the persons behind AI MINING.”
“We are also utilizing this letter to ask you to assist us in revealing the true identify of the organizations behind the license/certificate provided to AI Mining, which is located on the second floor of Church Gate Towers in Abuja.”
“In addition, we want the anti-graft agency to extend an invitation to the General Manager of NTA, FAAJI FM, and WAZOBIA to reveal the identity of people who contracted them to run a series of jingles for them under the company named AI MINING, which made millions of innocent Nigerians invest on their platform leveraging on the integrity of those stations.”
“Please assist us, poor masses are dying because any borrowed money to invest because of all the proof presented by them with TV and radio stations that marketed to them,” one of the defrauded investors told SaharaReporters.
“We received the advertisement on NTA, Wazobia, Silver Bird, Sabinus, and other ways about AI mining, that it is real and authentic, and many people latched into it since it was coming from national television stations.” After a few months of many Nigerians investing large sums of money, they discontinued the app and refused to refund people’s money.
“Many borrowed money for that investment, many spent their hard-earned money to invest, and many are dying as a result of their large investment.” Please assist us.”
