Ancelotti shares Real Madrid’s opinion on Osimhen of Napoli as “one of the greatest”

The most valued player in Italy, the Nigerian international, will soon depart Naples for greener pastures.

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has denied interest in Napoli attacker Victor Osimhen.

Real Madrid was not interested in signing the Nigerian striker this summer, according to the former Chelsea and AC Milan boss.

The first African to win the league’s top goalscorer award, Osimhen led Napoli to their first Serie A championship in 33 years and became one of the game’s best finishers with 26 goals.

Chelsea, Manchester United, and PSG, who allegedly had a €100 million deal rejected, were understandably interested in his exceptional performances.

The departure of star attacker Karim Benzema to Saudi Arabia last month heightened Real Madrid’s interest in Osimhen.

According to Fussball, Ancelotti said, “Osimhen is one of the finest attackers in Europe, but to be honest, we never thought about him.”

Ancelotti explained Madrid’s transfer strategy: “We have opted to compensate for the loss of Benzema with the arrival of Bellingham in other ways.”

These statements clarify Real Madrid’s summer transfer plans.

Victor Osimhen scored twice in Napoli’s opening weekend win against Frosinone.

According to reports, the 24-year-old striker may extend his SSC Napoli contract until 2025.
