Amotekun in Oyo kills a notorious hoodlum, arrests three others, and kills MC

At Iseyin, Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State, a joint team of operatives from Western Nigeria Security Network codenamed Amotekun and Operation Burst shot and killed a prominent hoodlum simply identified as Musiliudeen Gbolagade, also known as “MC.”

According to reports, the middle-aged “MC,” together with his cohorts, had been implicated in several thefts and gunfights in the Isalu neighbourhood. Many locals also believed he had been involved in the abduction and other prominent incidents in the region.

The inquiry also found that he was dreaded by rural residents, where he ruled as a major thug and coerced store owners, landlords, and company owners into paying him rent.

He reportedly shot one of the security guards during the raid on his hideaway before being fatally shot, and his body was left at the Oketapemo Police station to await transport to Ibadan, the state capital. This information was provided to Punch by an informed community source.

Olayinka Olayanju, the state commandant of Amotekun, reportedly corroborated the rumour, adding, “Yes, that was real. We have defeated him. Operation Burst was a joint effort by Amotekun and the Police.

He has perpetrated several crimes and atrocities in the region. He said he challenged security guards to a gun battle this Monday morning, and they shot and killed him.
