Ondo state government says evil-minded politicians fabricated the report that Governor Rotimi Akeredolu would return to Germany for medical vacation.

In Akure, the state capital, the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, said the report was created and planted by drowning politicians still grieving over failed expectations.

Olatunde said the story is false and a fabrication of evil-minded politicians.

He advised the public to ignore this false news and not be swayed by deception from those with ulterior motives.

“Governor Akeredolu is committed to serving Ondo State and advancing our great state.

While the good people of the state are happy about the Governor’s safe return from his medical vacation, these embattled politicians have been sleeping poorly over their failed evil plans.

“We are committed to addressing state residents’ genuine concerns. The Akeredolu administration prioritises development.

Governance is not about showbiz, where the Governor announces his presence in the state with market square fashion parades. We recognise development as the key to a peaceful, prosperous, and egalitarian society.

“Governor Akeredolu’s administration has always prioritised state progress.

He recently approved hiring medical professionals and healthcare workers to support improving the state’s healthcare system.

The Governor signed the 2023 OSOPADEC appropriation bill into law after the state House of Assembly passed it.

This is a major step towards oil-producing area development.

We are also pleased to report that the construction of a 250-bed University of Medical Science Teaching Hospital in Akure and Ondo Town is progressing quickly.

The Akure flyover at Onyarubulem/Shagari Junction is also being built and progressing.

Governor Akeredolu has approved 150 new Internal Revenue Service hires to boost revenue.

Modern tax stations in Ondo and Ikare and a Revenue court in Akure are also being built. These projects are ongoing.

We care about our employees, so Governor Akeredolu recently approved leave bonuses. State workers receive current salaries.

“Governor Akeredolu is doing his job, despite opposition claims. The Governor actively addresses state issues in various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
