African Media Agency (AMA), London, May 16, 2023, The seventh London edition of the influential digital conference Africa Tech Summit (ATS) London, which promotes trade and investment throughout the continent, will take place live on June 23 at the London Stock Exchange.
The Summit will bring together 300 business executives from around Africa with global investors, corporations, and enterprises to conduct business after a sold-out edition in 2022.
According to The Big Deal Report 2023, African digital start-ups raised $1.3 billion in the first quarter of 2023 (including exits). This is a 29% Year-on-Year (YoY) fall and a 52% decline (excluding exits), highlighting the ecosystem’s challenges.
Leading African digital ventures are regularly introduced to international investors through the Africa Tech Summit, and this year’s Venture Track includes an Investment Showcase as well as one-on-one investor meetings that will further advance investment and collaboration. African ventures interested in raising capital are urged to apply here by May 15, 2023.
The track will spotlight innovators tackling various concerns, such as food security and climate change, while offering insights into different industries. The Fintech, Web3, and Crypto leaders will be brought together by the Money and DeFi track, which will also explore investment and business opportunities from all around the continent.
