The departing First Lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari, presided over the 10th General Assembly of the Africa First Women Peace Mission on Monday at the State House in Abuja.
Senator Remi Tinubu, the wife of the next president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, attended the Assembly, which was focused on promoting peace, security, and the reduction of violent conflicts.
Members of the diplomatic corps and wives of presidents and governors from other African nations also attended the gathering.
According to reports, the First Lady will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the African Union. Her involvement will assist the continent’s change, advance a culture of peace, and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
