Nonso Diobi, a well-known Nollywood actor, has spoken out about the cause of his extended hiatus from the Nigerian entertainment industry.
This was revealed in a recent interview with HipTV by the actor, 46, who was a well-known figure in the movie business for more than ten years and appeared in a number of blockbuster films before taking a protracted break.
He added that he took time off to broaden his knowledge and skill set to provide his followers with something fresh and intriguing.
Nonso continued by adding that he has switched from acting to filmmaking, directing and producing his own films and that he now has two films in development.
His words are
“I basically stated it like this. I constantly take time off so that I can learn new things, change careers, and continue to give my people what they want. And for that reason, I’ve been absent from the scene for a while and am making a big comeback.
“At the moment, I’m working on two films, and I’ll be letting the public know about them soon. As of right now, in addition to being the familiar Nonso Diobi from films, I am also a filmmaker.
I now work as a director, thus. My films are in production, so very soon, my fans will truly understand why I took a break because I live for entertainment.
