Gabriel Aduku, a former minister of state for health, has been named the new head of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF).

Aduku, an architect who worked in President Goodluck Jonathan’s government, would oversee forum operations for the ensuing three years.

His traditional name is Amana Ogohi 1, Ata Igala of Igala Kingdom, and he is from Kogi State. Murtala Aminu, the forum’s current secretary general, keeps his position.

Chief Audu Ogbe, the outgoing ACF Chairman, stated during the ceremony, which took place yesterday, that the North must become more active in business and industry if it is to escape poverty.

FG replaces striking doctors with ad hoc personnel.

The aviation ministry has a new name.

“If we can add more value before we sell our goods, there is no reason why someone will come here, buy hibiscus (zobo) packages, export to Mexico, and sell for $38 million while we are sitting here doing nothing,” Ogbe said.

“There is no justification for them to purchase our sesame seeds, gum arabic, yams, and soy beans and export because there is no justification for us to be unable to export ourselves since politics alone is not a sustainable sector, we must get it more in commerce and industry,” the author said.

He expressed gratitude to the departing leaders for their dedication and selflessness and wished the new executives the same or greater success.
