According to reports from Lifestyle Nigeria, the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has taken action against noise pollution by temporarily closing down churches, hotels, bars, and other establishments across various areas of the state.

Areas affected by the shutdown include Ifako-Ijaiye, Abesan Estate, Abule-Egba, Alagbado, Command, and Dopemu. Tokunbo Wahab, the state Commissioner of the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, announced the closure on Friday through his social media handle.

Among the establishments affected are the Catholic Church, 1602 Hotel, Seventh Heaven Bar & Lounge, Lourita Hotel & Suites, God’s Porch Ministries, Wonderful Bible Prayer Ministries, White Pavilion Hotel, Quest Hotel & Suites, Excel Hotel & Suite, and HoneyComb Confectionery Ltd. The closures are temporary and aim to enforce compliance with environmental regulations, with LASEPA emphasizing the importance of businesses adhering to these standards.

In other news, a Nigerian woman named Clara Chizoba Kronborg has broken the world record for the longest interviewing marathon, lasting an impressive 55 hours and 24 seconds. Currently residing in Spain, Clara hosted a talk show on YouTube and achieved this remarkable feat, surpassing the previous record of 37 hours and 44 minutes.
