When talking about her upbringing, she remarked, “I’m the last child. With the aid of my mother, I attended school in Owerri. I obtained my diploma. I carried out my obligation. In 2016, I left Owerri.”
Mercy Eke, the winner of Big Brother Naija season 4, has responded to those who criticise her because she is Igbo.

Mercy learned the reason for Taymesan’s Igbo accent in a meeting with the media figure that was published on Friday.

The unscripted television sensation from Imo realised that her speech had been impacted by the fact that she was born and reared in Owerri, the state capital.

“In Owerri, I was born. All I did was in Owerri. Actually, I departed Owerri in 2016,” Mercy affirmed.

When talking about her upbringing, she remarked, “I’m the last child. With the aid of my mother, I attended school in Owerri. I obtained my diploma. I carried out my obligation. In 2016, I left Owerri.”

“I’m stating this because some individuals genuinely lack knowledge. I look at them when they comment on my Igbo accent and ask, “How do you want me to speak?”

“I attended both primary and senior school in Owerri. I was only forced to leave Owerri by the National Youth Service. How do they anticipate my speaking?

However, she added that she would not be touched by what people had to say about her because of her originality.

The entrepreneur declared, “This is me. I’m certain. Here I am. I’ve seen and interacted with many folks.

“And how does Cristiano Ronaldo speak? He’s one of the most well-known persons in the world. Using his language or with an accent. And he is the most well-known person in the world. Everyone loves him.

Mercy claimed that despite this, Nigerians think she should speak with an English accent in order to maintain her uniqueness.
