Sundiata Post in Abuja: The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has disputed a fictitious website that has gained widespread attention and purported to list the shortlisted applicants for the 75 Regular Course of the Academy.
According to the Academy, the phoney list has been discovered on numerous social media websites posing as the NDA’s official website.
Major Victor Olukoya, the Academy’s spokesman, refuted the assertion and warned Nigerians against falling for such trickery, saying that the con artists are looking for methods to rob the people of their resources.
He stated: “We desire to make it clear that the list, which has already been published on many social media sites, is not only fictitious but also the product of fraudsters. They might want to take advantage of law-abiding citizens by stealing from them.
“As a result, we want to caution the general public to stay away from this fraudulent magazine and the creators of this fake list. Their main goal is to deceive and cheat the general people. As a result, doing business with them is risky.
“Please be aware that the selection procedure for the 75 Regular Course of the Academy is meticulous and continuing. After it finishes, the Academy will formally publish the authentic list in a few national publications and on the NDA’s official website, www.nda.edu.ng.
“The general public is once more informed that the alleged list making the rounds on social media websites is false. The NDA didn’t create that. Thus, according to the statement, the general public is advised not to deal with any fraudulent person or persons who may be distributing that list.
