Breast reduction surgery, also known as reduction mammaplasty, removes fat, breast tissue, and skin from the breasts. Breast reduction surgery can alleviate discomfort and enhance look in those who have big breasts.
Breast reduction surgery may also assist with self-image, chronic back, neck, and shoulder discomfort, shoulder grooves from bra straps, nerve pain, poor self-image owing to huge breasts, and difficulties fitting into bras and clothes, among other things.
Breast reduction also improves the ability to participate in physical activities such as sports, hiking, water aerobics, dancing, running, and bicycle riding, to name a few.
In today’s piece, I’ll spotlight eight celebrities that had breast reduction surgery.
Cossy Orjiakor.
Cossy Orjiakor, a Nigerian actress, singer, and video vixen who is well-known for her huge breasts, came to prominence as a result of the considerably large breasts she regularly flaunts.
She refers to them as “a magnificent gift from God,” and she states that she would not nurse her children directly to keep them firm, despite the fact that this is her selling point.
Greenvillemedlaser Hospital, a laser clinic in Lekki, Lagos, that specializes in body modifications, uploaded a photo of a successful breast reduction operation with the caption: “One of the breast reduction we are delighted to share with you since this is a great outcome.”
“We removed 2.2kg from her left breast, 1.7kg from her right breast, and 500mls of fat from her breasts,” Cossy said, adding, “Am heading over for a consultation oo.”
Fans were enthralled by her remark, but Cossy is still joyfully hanging and bouncing her breast.
Yvonne Jegede.
Yvonne Jegede, a Nollywood actress and film producer who rose to prominence after appearing in the music video African Queen by 2Face Idibia opposite Annie Macaulay, has also confirmed that she had surgery.
The actress has admitted she had surgery and is not ashamed to say so.
On a culinary program, ‘Mercy Menu,’ with her colleague, Mercy Johnson, the single mother of one stated she is always shocked when people guess that she has had plastic surgery.
Due to her expanding tummy, she had two breast reductions and two liposuctions after giving child.
The ‘African Queen’ video vixen stated that she is eager to get another liposuction if her belly expands again.
She further questioned why people would presume she had operated on her buttocks because it has become a trend among many female celebs.
Yvonne Jegede also stated that she spent about 10 million Naira on her body and did not borrow money from anyone.
Afro Candy
Judith Chichi Okpara, popularly known as Afro Candy, is a Nollywood actress, director, producer, model, and pornographic actress.
She was well-known for her enormous breasts, which she loved flaunting in public.
The actress recently stated in an interview with Tribune that her doctor suggested her to lower her breast size due to its complication to her health, since she suffers from back discomfort.
“I’ve been getting back discomfort recently, and when I went to my doctor about it, he stated I was carrying a burden on my chest; that’s what’s causing it,” she explained.
“I also can’t jog, run, jump rope, or dance as much as I’d want without being aware of the bouncing boobies.” So I want to be able to accomplish all of that while being pain-free,” which is why I need this operation.
Tosin Abiola
Oluwatosin Abiola, commonly known as Omo Brish, is a well-known Nigerian actress, model, and social media influencer.
The Yoruba-born actress, who has been in the Nollywood industry for almost two decades, has also had breast reduction surgery.
She said this in an interview when asked what her beauty secret is.
In response to the inquiry, she stated, “I don’t have any secrets; I just watch what I eat.” Honestly, the best kept secret is that I had breast reduction surgery since my boobs were so large that they gave me back pain and caused me to stop getting my sizes.
“I would go to the shops and they would take measurements and still not get my size, and when I had my second child, I just thought to myself, I need to do something about the boobs, and after my second child, the boobs became so big, I spent so much money on a massage every day just because of my back.”
“Before I had it cut, physicians told me I was overweight and needed to lose weight, and my mind was made up.”
” First, I tried to reduce weight in 2016, but I couldn’t get it right, then in 2017, I dropped around 5kg, and then in early 2018.”
“I fell to approximately 90 kilograms, then the doctors said I needed to drop to 88kg or else they wouldn’t perform it, so I dropped to like 88 kilos, so I attempted to do that, then I went for the breast reduction.”
Eriata Ese
Eriata Ese is a well-known Instagram celebrity with over 550,000 followers. She featured in the 2017 season of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija).
The Instagram star also stated on her Snapchat story that she will be getting breast reduction surgery before her 30th birthday.
She stated that she will have a breast reduction treatment to relax her back and shoulders.
“My 30th birthday gift is a breast reduction,” the chubby ex-BBNaija star stated. My back and shoulder will finally be at ease.”
When a devoted fan protested against the breast reduction operation, Eriata Ese stayed fast in her decision, stating that there was no one who could assist her when she was suffering from back aches.
“Y’all not there when I’m battling with back discomfort and a reddish bra line on my shoulder,” she said. You’ll all be OK.
Waje
Waje, a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer, has announced plans to get her large boobs surgically reduced.
She said this on this week’s edition of MTV Base Word On The Street with VJ Stephanie, in response to a question from Twitter user @kazzang, “Would you ever contemplate plastic surgery?”
Waje is open to the notion of getting plastic surgery on her breasts, but not the one you have in mind, she added.
The singer recently confessed that she would prefer breast reduction surgery than breast enlargement surgery.
She humorously explained to an amused Stephanie why she preferred breast reduction over expansion.
“Don’t you appreciate that people can see your face while I and you sit here? Do you want me to cover the screen?
Mimi Ubini
Mimi Ubini, a Nollywood actress, model, and video vixen, said on Instagram that her breasts began developing when she was 9 years old and were significantly larger than those of her colleagues.
“I despised my huge boobs as a kid,” she explained.
“That wasn’t this hilarious o. I used to cry every night as a kid because I hated my boobs. Why do I have boobs at the early age of 9 but my friend is completely flat-chested? Why? Why? Everyone now believes I’ve “spoiled.”
“I remember seeing my dearest friend and begged her to tie a wrapper extremely tightly over my breast so they could go back…
True tale.
” Surprised? My mother is the reason I despise my boobs.” Don’t worry, I’ll get there. I didn’t understand why mature men were continually purchasing my biscuits, candies, or ice cream at the early age of nine.
“I didn’t, but I do now.” Alright, back to the point. When my mother scolds me, she generally takes off my clothing to beat me with a cane or kobobo, and when she raises my garments, my huge round breast confronts her.
OMG! she exclaimed. This girl spoils oo, neighbors come oo. The neighbor arrived, both male and female. Behold her chest as she little reach she dons dey develop breast, my mother stated.
“The actress stated that her breast was there for everyone to see, judge, and poke at.” I just stood there expecting the ground would swallow me, what is my crime, did I give myself breast? I thought to myself. A neighbor chipped in when one of the men sketched the breast.
“I couldn’t shower outside like all my friends anymore; I had to line like an adult to use the restroom.” Yeah, and my elementary school friend didn’t help matters either, haha. I was picked on and labeled a terrible girl just because I was the only one in my class with breasts.
“I recall having a sleepover at a classmate’s house and refusing to take off my singlet, take it off she cried, I responded naa I’m okay I’ll shower like this, she forcefully continued to pull my singlet up and viola breast in her face, I saw the astonishment, amazement, and disgust on her face.”
“By sixteen, they were already like huge size paw paw, extremely big round and resting proudly on my chest.” While all my friends were wearing tank tops, I was forbidden? Why would you ever wear tank tops? I have no idea.
“Recently, I’ve been considering breast reduction surgery.”
Eninabo Potts Johnson
Ebinabo Potts-Johnson was awarded Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria Universe 2007 and represented her nation in the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico City the same year.
Although many people are hoping for greater blessings, one Nollywood diva is pondering the opposite.
She is considering a breast reduction because she believes guys only gaze at her boobage.
“Although God placed it there, and truly, at some point in my life I was genuinely thinking that I need to lessen this thing (her boobs) because most times when people see me, it’s just the boobs they’re seeing, they’re not seeing the other parts of me,” the Bayelsa-born beauty reveals. It might be uncomfortable when others just regard you as a sexual object.”
She said, “Sometimes you just don’t know why a guy is coming for you.” You don’t know if it’s because of your personality or your physique, and while I don’t want to believe a guy is going for me because of my body, I do receive a lot of compliments on my boobs.
“Sometimes. A guy just walks by and says, “Wow, your boobs are enormous,” and I just smile and go away.”
