410 more stranded Nigerians returned from Sudan

On Sunday morning, the fourth group of 410 Nigerians who had been evacuated from Sudan landed in Abuja.

On Sunday, a total of 844 evacuees are anticipated to return.

They were transported in 16 buses from the Sudanese side of the Wadi Halfa border to the Aswan International Airport in Egypt.

Check-in started as early as midnight.

The aggregate passenger capacity of the two Azma and Max Aeroplanes is at least 734.

Around 10.30 am, the Maz Air aircraft landed at Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

At midday, the second aircraft, Azman carrying 324, is anticipated to land.

Nigerians from the Wadi Halfa camp were to be evacuated using the two aircraft.

Later in the day, an aircraft operated by the Sudanese carrier Tarco is anticipated to bring 110 more refugees home. They are Port Sudanese evacuees.

Since the nation began doing so last Wednesday, the total number of evacuees evacuated to Nigeria will rise to 1,481.
