A new list of 191 candidates has been made public by the All Progressives Congress’ national working committee to lead the Kogi State gubernatorial campaign nationally before the November 11 election.

This information was revealed in a statement released Wednesday evening in Abuja by Suleiman Arugungu, the party’s national organising secretary.

This new development follows the party’s denial on Tuesday that it issued previous papers, including famous names of the chairman, co-chairmen, and campaign council members for Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi, that quickly gained media attention.

Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu was named the head of the Kogi campaign train in a new document issued by APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka on Wednesday.

Governors Mohammed Bago of Niger and Sani Uba of Kaduna, who have been chosen as the campaign council’s co-chairmen, would support Sanwo-Olu.

The 191-member Kogi State campaign council was completed by notable figures, including Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, national chairman of the APC; Yahaya Bello, governor of the state; David Umahi, minister of works; and Bello Matawalle, minister of state for defence.
